Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I love the experience of the monthly changing menu. It felt like a fine dining experience and for a reasonable price. They offer happy hour before the actual seating (there is one seating time per day and everyone is served each course at the same time), highly recommend going to the happy hour to extend your time there. Staff is friendly and the food was great. They also offer wine pairings which adds to the experience. Excited to try future menus! I also recommend sitting at the bar for a more up close experience with the staff and seeing the food a little before it is served."
"Fourk Kitchen in Folsom is a hidden gem and a great dining experience without having to trek to Sacramento. This is a 4 course prix fixe dinner. There is only one seating and everyone is served in unison. We all had the same first, and second course...and desert. We had a choice of main courses (which I heard was new). There were 2 steak dishes (a sirloin and a New York) and then a duck breast. All 3 had different price points. I went with the duck at $85 and was not disappointed. Absolutely tender and flavorful. I can't forget to mention the second course which was a corn chowder, but not like any corn chowder I've ever had...this stuff could be addicting. If you're looking for a fun little night out, try this place. It's not stuffy and there doesn't appear to be a dress code (most people were closer to business casual). It did run us a little over $100 each, but we had great cocktails and spent a little over 2.5 hours there (they have happy hour that starts at 5:30 and serve dinner at 6:30). Highly recommended...can't wait to go back next month."
"We absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere and the staff are very warm and inviting. It feels like having an intimate dinner with friends rather than just going to a restaurant. Now let's talk food!! The chef here is absolutely amazing. The combination of flavors he comes up with are excellent. Each time we dine here we delighted in the wonderful courses. Each one more amazing!!"
"Food was great, service was too. I love that its family run. I really enjoyed my experience here. So much so that im booking my company Christmas party here."
"My friend invited me to this restaurant. I live in Orange County, but I came to visit my friend. And so I found myself in this restaurant for dinner. Each dish was unique. I was delighted with the salad. The steak was cooked perfectly. And the dessert surprised me, since it is very difficult to find delicious desserts in other restaurants. Every month the chef prepares a new menu and it is very attractive. I would gladly come back to dine here. Thanks to the restaurant manager and the chef for a unique evening and experience."
"Generally phenomenal. The pork belly they served tonight was the best I’ve ever had. However, we went for my wife’s birthday and she said her hanger steak was really chewy. The cut itself usually isn’t the most tender cut so I figured she just didn’t care for the cut. So she didn’t finish it, and I had her box it up for me. I tried it later tonight, and it was incredibly chewy. Almost like the entire thing was silver skin or something. It was nothing like what I had in the restaurant. Idk what was wrong with it, but there was something wrong with that piece of meat. I also don’t recommend the raspberry pistachio nut zero proof cocktail. Just wasn’t something I enjoyed. Everything else was phenomenal. Every other time we’ve gone the food was generally very good."
"If you’re looking for a truly special dining experience in Folsom, you have to check out Fourk Kitchen. This spot is reservation-only, which already makes it feel a little more exclusive and trust me, it’s worth planning ahead. The space is super intimate with just a handful of tables and some counter seating, so it feels like you’re part of something a little extra special the moment you walk in. What really makes Fourk shine is how thoughtful the menu is. Chef Jesse curates a new menu every month based on what’s in season, and you can tell how much passion goes into every single dish. We went for the April menu, and honestly, everything we had was incredible — but the Wild Mushroom Risotto absolutely stole the show for me. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced… I’m still dreaming about it. The portions are generous without being overwhelming, and each course was beautifully paced. New owner Shelbie was so warm and personable too… you can really feel her energy helping elevate the whole experience. I also love that she’s giving Jesse the freedom to create, because it’s clearly paying off."
"I had been looking forward to trying this place for awhile and it did not disappoint. I went on a Thursday evening with one of my girlfriends and we had a great time. The food was amazing! Every course was delicious and the wine pairing was spot on. The staff was awesome. This is a great place for a date night or a dinner with friends. Love the fact that the menu changes monthly. Overall a great dining experience something that Folsom was definitely lacking. I will definitely be back."
